That’s me - the face behind BY. VMW & Bäxie the Label.
My name is Victoria, but you can call me Vici. I’m 31 years old and have been living in beautiful Vienna, Austria for almost seven years. My main job is being a flight attendant, which allows me to find inspiration all over the world, bringing fresh ideas and creativity into my work.
The idea for BY. VMW was born during a trip to Sri Lanka in 2022. What started as a personal passion soon grew into a small business, driven by my love for craftsmanship and unique design.
Sustainability is at the heart of Bäxie. I carefully handcraft each piece, using mostly recycled materials. For my denim bags, I create everything myself - from turning old jeans into yarn to crocheting the final piece. Every bag is truly one of a kind, made with dedication and attention to detail.
My Mission
Crochet is often seen as traditional and old-fashioned, but with Bäxie, I’m here to change that. I want to prove that crochet can be elegant, bold and effortlessly stylish - a statement of modern sophistication rather than just a nostalgic craft.
Each Bäxie is thoughtfully designed to be versatile and timeless - practical for everyday life yet chic enough to elevate any outfit. Made from upcycled denim and recycled cotton, they are not only stylish but also a commitment to sustainability.
