Meet the Karin Denim Bag.

Karin brings a fresh twist to classic denim. Crafted from mint green upcycled jeans, this piece stands out with its soft, pastel tone while still carrying the authentic structure and character of denim.

From start to finish, this bag is made entirely by hand. The denim is cut into strips, transformed into yarn and then crocheted stitch by stitch. With around 12 hours of work behind it, Karin represents slow fashion at its core - intentional, detailed and made to last.

The silver hardware adds a clean, modern contrast to the soft mint tone, giving the bag a balanced look that feels both playful and refined.

Inside, the bag is finished with a cotton lining that is carefully hand-sewn. The inner pocket is made from the original denim, preserving a part of the jeans and adding a functional, authentic detail.

Care Instructions for your Bäxie Bag: 

Taking care of your Bäxie properly will help it stay beautiful and last longer. Follow these detailed instructions, and remember what not to do!

Washing:

• Use a gentle hand wash program on your washing machine. Set it to low temperature (20°C/68°F) and low spin speed. If you’re unsure, wash the bag gently by hand with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
• Do not use fabric softener - it can affect the texture and durability of the material.

Drying:

• Do not tumble dry. Instead, let your bag air dry in a shaded area. Open it up and hang it upside down so that water can drain out. This also helps the bag keep its shape.
  
• Avoid placing your bag near heating devices like radiators or vents. The heat can cause the material to lose its original shape.
  
• Do not dry in direct sunlight. Too much sun can fade the colors and weaken the fibers over time.

Spot Cleaning:

• If there’s a small stain, gently dab it with a damp cloth and a tiny bit of mild detergent. Don’t scrub hard, as this can damage the yarn.

Storage:

• Store your bag in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
  
• When storing for a longer time, stuff the bag lightly with tissue paper or a soft towel to help maintain its shape.
  
• Keep your bag away from rough or sharp objects to avoid snags or pulls in the crochet fabric.

Ironing and Chemicals:

• Do not iron your Bäxie. The heat can damage the delicate yarn.
  
• Avoid using bleach or any harsh chemicals. These can cause discoloration and weaken the fibers.

Before Washing:

• Remove all chains, rings, or decorations from your bag before washing. This prevents damage to both the bag and the hardware.

Orders are shipped as insured packages from Austria. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your package is dispatched. Use this number to track your package.

• Europe: €10.00 (free for orders over €170.00)
  
• Other countries: €19.00 (free for orders over €200.00)

Shipping Times:

Each item is handcrafted with care. Processing and shipping times are generally:

• Austria: 5-7 business days
  
• Europe: 7-10 business days
• Other countries: 10-15 business days

If you order items with different shipping times, all will be shipped together, based on the item with the longest delivery time. Shipping times are estimates - delays by the carrier are beyond my control.
